Dorothea Lange was a great photographer in her time. Her pieces of work included portraits of the migrant farmers during the Great Depression. These images helped show the great pain and desperation the people of this time were going through. As a child Lange contracted polio which disabled her arm and leg, which she claims helped her grow stronger as a person later in life. Lange's most famous picture of a migrant mother is displayed in the Library of congress.
