Dorothea Lange was a great photographer in her time. Her pieces of work included portraits of the migrant farmers during the Great Depression. These images helped show the great pain and desperation the people of this time were going through. As a child Lange contracted polio which disabled her arm and leg, which she claims helped her grow stronger as a person later in life. Lange's most famous picture of a migrant mother is displayed in the Library of congress. By the end of class students will have a clear understanding of which photos work well for the tilt shift effect as evidenced by finding three examples of online of photos that do NOT have the tilt shift effect applied to it, but would work well for the effect. By the end of class students will be able to focus both manually and automatically as evidenced by answering the questions below.
